Vernon Demonstration Garden Planning Session
Okanagan College – Vernon Campus has embarked on a sustainability project which promotes the development of a Demonstration Garden that provides opportunities for the College’s students, faculty and staff to engage with local community partners through agriculture ventures.
At this time, we are in the planning stage of what kind of different activities could occur on this site, for example:
- Research projects
- Demonstration projects
- Educational programming
- Community partnerships and projects
We have had ideas from interested people that include a wide range of topics and ideas including: urban agriculture, seed saving projects, a demonstration apple orchard, grape growing research, irrigation demonstrations, student research projects, and all sorts of sustainable educational programming.
We are looking for your ideas and are inviting you to the Demonstration Garden’s Brainstorming and Planning Session
